Philosophy & Objectives

The Philosophy and Objectives
of Timothy Lutheran School

Man is by nature a sinful and condemned creature. God, in His Love, worked out salvation for all mankind. Only by faith in the redeeming love of the Savior can man lay hold on this salvation, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, make it his own. All branches of knowledge proceed from and are centered around this loving God who is revealed in His in-errant Word. Therefore, Timothy Lutheran School exists:

1. To provide for the spiritual welfare of the child by acquainting him with God’s plan of salvation and by equipping him for a life of witnessing for his Lord.
2. To provide for the child’s mental capabilities by providing an educationally sound experience in all appropriate branches of learning.
3. To provide for the physical well-being of each child, recognizing that his body is a temple of the Holy
Spirit.
4. To provide for the emotional character of the child by giving love and discipline, fostering reverence and respect and instilling values in accordance with God’s will
5. To provide for the social welfare of the child by teaching respect for authority, encouraging mannerly behavior and by equipping him to be a responsible citizen of this world.
